Replacing the wall to wall carpet with wood floors, was my first recommendation. The gold velvet and the teal sofa provide comfort in funky hues while the herringbone fireplace surround, crystal chandelier and rug add a touch of traditional style. This living space from polkadotingrid is all about personality, and colors such as hunter green, mustard yellow and dusty rose (yes, the color of your grandma's bathroom) are making a splash again in home decor.
